In my literary analysis essay titled "Alhamdulillah" I explored the relationship between irony, hypocrisy and faith in the face of tyranny in Khaled Hosseini's novel "A Thousand Splendid Suns". I loved writing this essay and connecting the complex themes present in "A Thousand Splendid Suns" with my developing knowledge of Islam.

In this essay I reflect on my senior year through the eyes of someone who has been here for me through every step of it, my boyfriend Mohanad Alhindi. I detail my struggles and triumphs from his positive perspective, keeping a hopeful eye to the future.

This is a letter I wrote my Junior year to my future Senior self. I described my hopes for my senior year, apprehensions I had, and goals I hoped to achieve. Some things didn't happen the way I thought they would, others turned out better than I could have imagined. Everything happens for a reason, so I believe the hardships and successes I've encountered have made me a stronger better person in the end.
